Transfer speed with Radicant – send money

Fast transfers with Radicant
  • Swiss transfers from a Radicant account to another Swiss account are fast. In the morning, they arrive the same day; in the afternoon, the next day.
  • Weak point, Radicant does not offer an instant transfer option between users like Yuh for example.
8

Radicant for travel and abroad

Traveling Radicant

0% fee markup for card payments abroad: no Visa markup, no transaction fees. This makes it a serious competitor in this area, just like Revolut, NEON and Alpian.

An advantageous travel insurance is included free of charge when paying with the Radicant debit card. It covers cancellations, baggage damage, and medical care abroad, among other things. No additional fees or formalities are required.

11

Cash deposit into the Radicant account

Depositing cash

Cash deposits are not possible. Funds can only be deposited via bank transfer.

12

Radicant cashback

Cashback

Radicant does not offer cashback as such, but “saveback”.

  • With over CHF 10,000 in your account and more than CHF 1,000 invested per month, you’ll earn 1% back on your debit card transactions.
  • With more than CHF 1,000 in your account and more than CHF 150 invested per month, you’ll receive 0.25% on your debit card transactions.

The cashback is directly invested in your investment portfolio.
It is limited to 2,000 CHF per month and excludes money transfers (for example TWINT, PayPal).

13

Radicant customer service

Customer service

Radicant’s customer service is limited. No livechat, but a chatbot and a surcharged telephone number (CHF 0.08/minute) accessible Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Contact by email is also possible.

The lack of Livechat is a weak point, but Radicant plans to add one to its roadmap.

14

Good reasons to open an account with Radicant

Choose the Radicant account

Should you choose Radicant?

  • For eco-responsible people: YES
  • For frequent travellers : NO
  • For traditional banking services: NO

As far as investment solutions are concerned, Radicant is interesting if you’re looking for both a bank account and a robo-advisor on the same service, but you can’t choose your shares.

Choose Radicant if you’re looking for a sustainable, mobile bank, and if you don’t make frequent transactions abroad.

Radicant vs. Neon – Quick Comparison ⚡️

Radicant VS. Neon

Neon vs Radicant

Radicant offers a free account in CHF and EUR, a personal CH IBAN, a free virtual Visa card, and a dedicated TWINT application. The essentials are covered for use in Switzerland, but limitations appear when you need non-SEPA transfers, a multi-currency card, or wider coverage for withdrawals abroad.

Neon offers an account only in CHF, without integrated TWINT, but remains simpler for foreign currency payments, with a card suitable for travel and direct access to an investment module without fixed fees.

To be preferred if…

  • You want a free account, compatible with TWINT and aligned with Swiss payments: Radicant
  • You travel often, pay in foreign currencies, or want to invest occasionally without constraints: Neon (read Neon review and test)

To avoid if…

  • You’re looking for active management of multiple currencies besides EUR/CHF
  • You need international transfers outside the SEPA zone
  • You regularly withdraw cash abroad
16

Radicant vs. Yuh – Quick Comparison ⚡️

Radicant VS. Yuh

Yuh vs Radicant

Yuh combines a multi-currency account in CHF, EUR and USD, a free card usable abroad, and integrated access to investment, all without monthly fees. But it remains more limited on local banking functions: no LSV, no eBill, TWINT available only via a separate app.

Radicant better covers everyday Swiss payments: native TWINT, integrated eBill, QR-bills supported, but without a multi-currency card, with fees on withdrawals outside the CHF zone and no international transfers possible.

To be preferred if…

  • you mainly use CHF, with a need for TWINT, eBill and clear management of local payments: Radicant
  • you juggle between CHF, EUR, USD or you’re looking for an all-in-one app to pay and invest without fees: Yuh (read Yuh review and test)

To avoid if…

  • you need non-SEPA transfers or a truly multi-currency card
  • you want to group payments, currencies and investments in a single app (Radicant doesn’t cover everything)
  • you want a simple interface without having to use TWINT or eBill separately (Yuh is more segmented)
17

Radicant vs. Zak – Quick Comparison ⚡️

Radicant VS. Zak

Radicant vs Zak

Zak is well integrated into the Swiss banking ecosystem. QR-bills, eBill, LSV and native TWINT are available for 100% local use in CHF. But the card remains limited outside Switzerland, no foreign currency is supported, and there is no integrated solution for investing.

Radicant offers a more modern app, integrated TWINT, an account in CHF and EUR, and simplified access to sustainable investment. However, it does not integrate LSV, does not handle non-SEPA transfers and fees on withdrawals abroad are higher.

To be preferred if…

  • you want an app compatible with CHF and EUR, with TWINT and easy access to ethical investment: Radicant
  • you stay within local CHF usage, needing LSV, a free card and support for classic Swiss services: Zak (read Zak review and test)

To avoid if…

  • you travel often or use multiple currencies
  • you need transfers outside the SEPA zone
  • you’re looking for a stable card abroad with reduced fees

What do you think of Radicant?

  • Has the Radicant app made your daily life easier?
  • What feature would you like to customize or improve?
  • Is Radicant sufficient to meet all your needs?
  • Do you combine Radicant with other banks?
