Transfer speed with Alpian – send money
- Swiss transfers from an ALPIAN account to another Swiss account are fast. In the morning, they arrive the same day; in the afternoon, the next day.
- Weak point, ALPIAN does not offer an instant transfer option between users like Yuh, Zak or Neon.
Alpian TWINT – pay with TWINT prepaid

Yes, but the solution is not ideal. To use TWINT with ALPIAN, it is necessary to “use the” TWINT Prepaid application for iOS or Android.
Cash Deposit to Alpian Account
Here’s how to deposit cash into your Alpian account. You buy a TWINT top-up at a Post Office, Coop, or Interdiscount with the amount you want to deposit into your account:
With TWINT Prepaid, you need to select the “Unload credit” function then indicate an amount and the account IBAN.
The money is deposited into the account 2 to 3 working days later.

Alpian on the road and abroad
- Plan your transactions: Alpian is a multi-currency account with no transaction fees, but applies a currency exchange rate surcharge of 0.2% and 0.5% at weekends. Opt for a large amount to minimize the impact of fees.
- Limit cash withdrawals: withdrawal fees abroad are high (2.5%). Plan your cash needs and use your card for payments whenever possible.
Alpian customer service
As you would expect from a private bank, ALPIAN offers a qualitative service.
- Human advisors: chat or schedule a phone appointment with your personal investment advisor.
- Responsiveness: quick and precise answers to your questions.
- Live Chat: from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from the application for operations and transactions.
- Video call: from 08:30 to 18:30 for investments from the application.

I loooove being number 1. That’s a very good point for Alpian!
Neo – Unsolicited advice (as usual).
Alpian vs. Yuh – Quick Comparison ⚡️
Yuh vs Alpian
Yuh allows you to hold multiple currencies (CHF, EUR, USD) in the same account, avoid automatic conversions, and use its own TWINT app for mobile payments. However, it doesn’t support LSV, remains limited to SEPA transfers, and offers no human support in financial management.
Alpian goes further with multi-currency management (including USD and GBP), allows international transfers without fees, and offers a card designed for use abroad, but it is charged at 60 CHF and withdrawals remain chargeable.

To be preferred if…
- you want a free multi-currency account, easy to use, with a mobile card and quick access to autonomous investment: Yuh (read Yuh review and test)
- if you’re looking for more structured management, with free international transfers, multiple currencies, and a more wealth-oriented banking framework: Alpian
To avoid if…
- you use LSV for subscriptions or insurance
- you’re looking for a free card with no withdrawal fees
- you don’t plan to use currency-related or advisory functions
Alpian vs. Radicant – Quick Comparison ⚡️
Alpian vs Radicant
Radicant covers the essential Swiss banking needs well: CH IBAN, integrated TWINT, eBill, QR payments, and support for CHF and EUR. However, it remains very limited outside the Swiss or SEPA framework: no international transfers, no multi-currency card, high fees outside the euro zone.
Alpian goes further for those with currency flows: management in CHF, EUR, USD, GBP, free international transfers, and an interesting card for use abroad, but less suitable for simple local use without investment intentions.
To be preferred if…
- you want a multi-currency account, with free international transfers and a card optimized for abroad: Alpian
- you stay in Switzerland or the euro zone, with simple needs and a desire to invest sustainably: Radicant (read Radicant review and test)
To avoid if…
- you travel outside the euro zone or have payments in USD or GBP
- you want to group payments, currencies, and transfers in a single interface without geographical limits
- you don’t plan to use functions related to sustainable investment
Alpian vs. Revolut – Quick Comparison ⚡️
Alpian vs Revolut
Revolut is designed for flexibility abroad: you can receive or send money in multiple currencies, payments go through without forced conversion, and the card works without extra cost in most common areas. But when it comes to receiving a salary in Switzerland, paying rent by QR bill, or activating a subscription by LSV, it falls short: no CH IBAN, no compatibility with Swiss banking standards, and no TWINT.
Alpian better fits this framework: Swiss IBAN, QR payments, multi-currency transfers without fees, virtual card from account opening, and a more readable app for use in Switzerland and abroad, but all withdrawals are chargeable and the physical card costs 60 CHF.

To be preferred if…
- you’re looking for a structured account compatible with Switzerland, while being able to send or receive international payments: Alpian
- you travel frequently or make currency payments in several countries without local constraints: Revolut (read Revolut review and test)
To avoid if…
- One wants to use TWINT, eBill, or automate recurring payments in Switzerland
- you need free withdrawals or an included physical card
- you receive income in CHF or need to pay bills via a CH IBAN
Reasons to open an account with Alpian
Alpian is suitable for those who have banking needs in CHF, EUR, USD, or GBP while living in Switzerland. The app combines a stable multi-currency account, a card usable “abroad, and international transfers without fees. But what distinguishes Alpian in the long term is the possibility to access, from the same space, a wealth management service comparable to that of a private bank without having to change” institutions or multiply points of contact.
