  • Launch the TWINT app.
  • Select “YES, I am a new user of Yuh TWINT”.

Is YUH TWINT secure?

YUH TWINT offers the same level of security as e-banking. Money is not stored directly on the smartphone. All transactions are carried out in a secure environment.

Does YUH TWINT work with a French number?

Yes, you can register in the TWINT Prepaid application with the following country codes, provided your domicile is in one of these countries:

  • Switzerland (+41)
  • Germany (+49)
  • France (+33)
  • Liechtenstein (+423)
  • Italy (+39)
  • Austria (+43)

How do I pay with YUH TWINT in Swiss stores?

Paying with TWINT varies from store to store. In most shops, use the payment terminals by scanning the QR code with the YUH TWINT app. In some cases, such as farm stores, you scan a printed QR code, even without staff present. Some stores require Bluetooth activation for contactless payments via the YUH TWINT application.

How do I withdraw money with the YUH TWINT application?

It is possible to withdraw cash in certain stores using the YUH TWINT application. This is the case at many kiosks, for example. To withdraw cash, select “Cash withdrawal” in the YUH TWINT application, then show the barcode displayed at the checkout. You can withdraw between 20 and 200 francs. The fee is 1 franc up to 100 francs, and 1.50 francs for higher amounts.

Is there a charge for using TWINT?

TWINT is generally free of charge for our private customers. The YUH TWINT application can be downloaded free of charge.

Transactions carried out with TWINT are always free of charge, whether you pay at a merchant or send money to other TWINT users. Please note that in exceptional cases, fees may be charged by certain partners, for example when withdrawing cash or parking without a ticket. Any partner fees are always clearly stated.

What is the maximum amount I can spend on YUH TWINT?

The monthly limit for money received via TWINT is CHF 4,000. Each transaction has a maximum amount of CHF 2,000 for sending money to a contact and CHF 3,000 for in-store payments.

What is the spending limit with YUH TWINT?

The monthly spending limit is 5,000 CHF in total (transactions + in-store payments).

What can TWINT be used for?

  • Send and receive money.
  • Make donations to charitable organizations.
  • Pay online.
  • Pay in store in Switzerland.
  • Withdraw cash in certain stores.
  • Pay at vending machines and parking meters.
