TWINT is experiencing massive adoption, with over 5 million users carrying out a total of 590 million transactions. There are :

Install NEON’s TWINT app

Neon does not have its own TWINT application like YUH, for example. You have two options:

Use the UBS TWINT app with your NEON card

Download the UBS TWINT app for iOS or Android.

Add your Neon card number and IBAN :

(If you already have the app. go to : Settings > Manage payment methods)

Using the TWINT Prepaid app with NEON

Download and install the TWINT Prepaid app for iOS or Android.

With this system, the bank account is not directly debited, but only the prepaid credit.

Click on “Register” and fill in your identity and contact details.

How to add credit to Neon TWINT Prepaid

Access the “Add credit” menu:

Open the TWINT Prepaid application.
Go to the “Add credit” menu.

Select “Bank account “:

Select the “Bank account” option.

Choose Hypothekarbank Lenzburg

Select Hypothekarbank Lenzburg.

Take a picture of your neon card:

Take a photo of your neon card.

Enter your Neon IBAN

Enter the IBAN number in the application.

Is NEON TWINT secure?

TWINT offers the same level of security as e-banking. Whether via the UBS TWINT app or TWINT Prepaid. Money is not stored directly on the smartphone. All transactions are carried out in a secure environment.

Does NEON TWINT work with a French number?

Yes, you can register in the TWINT Prepaid application with the following country codes, provided your domicile is in one of these countries:

How do I pay with NEON TWINT in Swiss stores?

Paying with TWINT varies from store to store. In most shops, use the payment terminals by scanning the QR code with the TWINT app. In some cases, such as farm stores, you scan a printed QR code, even without staff present. Some stores require Bluetooth activation for contactless payments via the TWINT application.

How do I withdraw money with the TWINT application?

It is possible to withdraw cash in certain stores using the TWINT application. This is the case at many kiosks, for example. To withdraw cash, select “Cash withdrawal” in the TWINT application, then show the barcode displayed at the checkout. You can withdraw between 20 and 200 francs. The fee is 1 franc up to 100 francs, and 1.50 francs for larger amounts.

Is there a charge for using TWINT?

TWINT is generally free of charge for our private customers. The TWINT application can be downloaded free of charge.

Transactions carried out with TWINT are always free of charge, whether you pay at a merchant or send money to other TWINT users. Please note that in exceptional cases, fees may be charged by certain partners, for example when withdrawing cash or parking without a ticket. Any partner fees are always clearly stated.

What is the maximum amount I can pay with Neon TWINT Prepaid?

The monthly limit is CHF 500 and the annual limit CHF 5,000.

What can TWINT be used for in Switzerland?
